ESPN Katie Nolan said live on air that President Trump is ‘f*cking stupid’ and ESPN decided that a warning would be the best way to handle that situation.
The sports news brand said that it addressed the situation with Nolan but that they opted to not punish her beyond that, according to TMZ.
“We have looked into the totality of Nolan’s comments, they were inappropriate, and we have addressed it with her,” an ESPN representative said.
Nolan also mentioned that she had the flu at the time of the comments as if that was an excuse.

“I’m on a lot of meds right now,” she said on the show immediately after blurting out the insult.
Nolan was talking to Desus Nice and The Kid Mero on their ESPN radio show when they started talking about Trump’s thumbs-up hand gesture, which apparently has some white supremacist groups copying him. The first insult she used for him is bleeped out, but then she added that he is a “fucking stupid person.”
Nolan hosts digital shows for ESPN, including their version of ESPN snapchat, as well as other radio programs.
Nolan came from Fox Sports, where her program “garbage time” won an Emmy in 2016.
This situation is being grossly mishandled by ESPN and they know it. Nolan went on the air on a lot of drugs as she claimed herself, and said some very vulgar words to the president of our country, if that doesn’t get you suspended from your radio show for a while, I don’t know what does.
ESPN should have a separate conversation about the drugs she is claiming to be on while at work, if it is affecting your reasoning and thinking skills that much, it’s clearly not safe to be taking at work, in front of a camera and microphone.
